Job Description

The Lending Department at NIB is seeking a

Senior Banker

to originate new lending transactions in the utilities and local government sector in Finland with the aim of delivering on NIB’s mission, Lending’s strategy and business targets. Senior Banker will also manage a portfolio of existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate new lending transactions within the Finnish utilities and public sector, aligning with NIB’s mission and business objectives.
  • Manage and monitor lending portfolios.
  • Provide top-tier client service, incorporating sector expertise, product knowledge, and sustainability principles. Conduct client relationship management, including KYC and integrity due diligence.
  • Oversee lending operations from credit risk assessment to loan management and reporting.
  • Lead transaction teams and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Represent NIB at public events to promote our lending services and mission.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Engage with prospect and existing clients, which requires also travelling.

 Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, law, engineering, political sciences, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, or consultancy.
  • Established network of clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English and Finnish.
