Job Description
Start date: As soon as possible
Your work environment
Action Against Hunger has been working in Chad since 1982, its mission is part of a long-term Sahelian strategy articulating emergency responses (nutritional crisis, natural disasters, epidemics) aimed at reducing mortality and morbidity and long-term axes around the notion of resilience, aimed at lowering the level of vulnerability of the populations of this Sahelian strip.
In 2023, ACF is implementing 13 programs in 7 provinces of Chad: Kanem, Bar El Gazal, Lac, Logone Oriental, Ouadaï, Dar Sila and Hadjer Lamis. In Chad, the causes of malnutrition are multiple, so the programs implemented by ACF seek to implement multisectoral projects in order to respond to them. All the programmes carried out (ASLM, Nutrition/Health, WASH, Mental Health and Care Practices – SMPS, Disaster Risk Management and Advocacy) aim to contribute to nutrition security in the intervention areas by acting on sensitive and nutrition-specific sectors. In 2023, ACF is maintaining its involvement in these 7 provinces, with the support of institutional donors who have been supporting it for several years (ECHO, AFD, GIZ, GAC, BHA, SIDA, UNICEF, GFO) in order to achieve this objective.
