Your work environment

Action Against Hunger has been working in the DRC since 1997 with programmes in nutrition-health, food security and livelihoods, and WASH. ACF implements emergency and development intervention programs to reduce morbidity and mortality due to malnutrition. Multisectoral approaches integrating nutrition and WASH in line with the national strategy are being implemented in 6 provinces.

One of ACF’s main areas of expertise in the DRC is the rapid response to nutrition crises, operational since 2008 with the financial support of donors such as UNICEF, ECHO and DFID. Through several years of deploying its emergency pool via DFID-funded PUNC and ECHO-funded RRCN, we have gained extensive experience in rapid deployments and effective monitoring of life-saving treatments in emergency situations. Since 2008, more than 100 nutrition surveys and more than 60,000 malnourished children have been treated through ACF’s emergency response teams. Over the past four years, ACF has carried out more than 35 rapid response interventions across the country, including the provinces of Kasai Central and Oriental, Sankuru, Kwilu, Kwangu, Equateur, Tshuapa, Maniema and Tanganyka. ACF is currently operating in the provinces of North and South Kivu, Kasai and Kasai Central.

We are looking for a Donor Contracts and Reporting Manager, based in Kinshasa/Goma.

Your position and responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Grants Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the entire donor relationship, including project proposals and reporting, meeting deadlines with headquarters and donors, as well as participating in the prospecting activity in the country in order to generate funding opportunities.

In this context, your missions will be to:

  • Contribute to the implementation of the mission’s donor strategy
  • Advise and train field teams in the development of documents for donors, and reporting and internal monitoring documents
  • Organize the production and follow-up of documents for donors and internal reporting and monitoring documents
  • Monitor the management and administration of grants
  • Contribute to contextual intelligence and support documentation and internal communication

 Your profile

You have a post-graduate degree in monitoring and evaluation, international relations/business, humanitarian affairs, international development, public health, statistics, epidemiology, demography or other studies, supplemented by technical experience in these same sectors.

You have at least 1-2 years of field experience in humanitarian and/or development programs within international NGOs. Experience in the DRC would be a plus.

You have successful experience as a Landlord Contracts and Reporting Officer or Manager.

You are comfortable with the following tools: Office Pack, Social Networks (Twitter, Facebook…), Canva.

You have good communication and coordination skills and you are rigorous.

You have a perfect command of French and English, both orally and in writing.

Your Terms of Employment

Vaccination against Mpox is recommended for employees who travel to this country.

  • Fixed-term contract under French law: 12 months until 15/09/2025
  • Gross monthly salary: from 2130 to 2475 € depending on experience, including 13th month
  • Pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
  • Increase in the base salary: 6% for every 12 months of continuous contract
  • Per diem and monthly living expenses: $974 net, paid on the ground
  • Monthly context allowance: €150 (Kinshasa) or €450 (Goma)
  • Child allowance: €1500 per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of €6000/year)
  • Transport and housing: Travel and collective housing
  • Medical coverage: 100% of the coverage of health contributions (CFE + complementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance
  • Salary maintenance schemes (sickness, maternity, paternity)
  • Leave and RnR: 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; Ticket coverage with a ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and €215 fixed compensation per RnR

The Coordination in Kinshasa has 30 national staff and 15 expatriates. The ACF office is located in the Basoko district, a district that brings together a large number of INGOs. The compound also houses the MSF Belgium offices and a sports hall. Living conditions are good in Kinshasa, expatriates are accommodated in 2 or 3 bedroom apartments with bathrooms, Internet and generator in case of power cuts. Personal travel is provided by the ACF car mission.

In the commune of Goma, ACF has a guest and an office/guest in the city center, with access to water and electricity most of the time. Each expat who lives there permanently has his or her own room with a private bathroom. A cook takes care of the preparation of meals, cleaning the office and home, and laundry. There are all the essential equipment for a good life in the house. There are many activities (sports, cultural, touristic) and a strong expatriate presence.
